The 5 Engine German Rocket

95 years ago the story about a trip to the Moon was told by a German Film. In the film, a Rocket using a Main Engine in its center with Engines for use, after liftoff, on the sides. The Silent Film, produced during the Hitler Years, successfully landed the Rocket on the Moon and then it returned to The Planet Earth. The name of the Motion Picture was Frau im Mond. Women in the Moon. Released in 1929.

The Design of this German Rocket is most likely to be used again. With the outgoing Space Companies fighting for the Conquest of The Planet Mars and the problems with the Blowback of a Engine not high enough to safely liftoff and return to The Planet Earth. This is one of the already documented stories of something they, The German Government at the time, “Tested”. The reason the focus of this article is about a possible design that would work to lift men back to The Planet Earth. From old Story to a suggestion on a drawing board.

It must be foreseen, that after landing the Rocket, in order to Liftoff, must have the ability to do so “at a safe distance from the surface it is lifting off from”. When the Motion Picture was originally produced, speculation on how a real “moon landing and liftoff” would be completed. Although the actual Moon landing and liftoff did not use the whole Rocket, built and completed by a German Engineer. It did use a platform to do so, separate from the Moon Surface.

Now we know that there will be successful missions to The Planet Mars. In order for them to do this, a solution will be needed. If it is with the use of a Elevated Engine or a Launch Facility, the need for a Rocket to return must be available. Although we see successful Launches from Spaceports with Towers and Platforms. What is not seen are the dust clouds with Rockets in the Sand where the real tests must be completed. This is where the highest probability for an Incendiary or Blowback will occur. For the moment, all Missions must have a plan to do something about this debris that will damage the Rocket upon its ascent.

The final chapter in this Story has not been written. Movies and Motion Pictures can say a lot, but when the successful Missions are done, it will be after “the hands on the tools that went over the needs and did it, in the Dirt.” The real work is yet to be completed in the Laboratory like they will do it on The Planet Mars. All of the effort is to Return.
